At Virginia Commerce Bank, we understand that privacy and security are important concerns in your banking relationship with us. We understand and are sensitive to the concerns about the impact that Internet technology may have on your privacy. We believe that electronic delivery of services can be of great benefit to you, and we want you to be assured that we are treating your personal information in a professional, confidential manner.

Visitors to VCB’s Web site remain anonymous. We do not collect identifying information about visitors to our site. We use standard software to collect non-identifying information about our visitors, such as:

• Date and time our site was accessed
• IP address (A numeric address given to computers connected to the Internet)

• City, State, and Country.

We use this information to create summary statistics and to determine the level of interest in information available on our site. For example, nonpublic personal information includes information we obtained from applications we receive from you including your name, address, Social Security Number, assets, income and information regarding your account balance, payment history and overdraft history.

We are permitted under law to disclose nonpublic personal information about you to "nonaffiliated third parties" (i.e., third parties that are not members of our corporate family) in certain circumstances. For example, we may disclose nonpublic personal information about you to such third parties to assist us in servicing your loan or account with us, to government entities in response to subpoenas and to certain credit bureaus.
